Dream Magic - How To Make It Happen...

You can definitely bring true love into your life, new friends, a better career, more wealth, and financial opportunities; resolve your life's problems and a lot more. It can in fact help you completely change your self image through a personal transformation once you know how to function in the secret and magical world you enter each time you sleep.

You do not need to spend a cent, no medicines or special dietary products, electronic gadgets or other equipment, you do not have to bond to any cult group nor participate in charity, and no periodical subscription neither. The only thing you need is YOU yourself only and an intensely felt and sincere desire to cause your life for change and to attract into your life those things you truly desire. On the other hand, it does require input from you, you must FOCUS and have the PATIENCE to persevere. It is also essential for you to TRUST that this magnificent process works as that is one of the main elements in achieving results. If you do not trust it in the beginning, you will trust it when you experience first rewarding and exciting success with it.

Here are the 5 Easy steps below. Follow the steps to change your life and attract true love, happiness, friendships and plenty more!

Step 1: What do you really want? Decide what you want in the simplest words, something that can be illustrated with the smallest amount number of words. Try to keep it less than 6 or 7 words if you can. For instance: You want to meet a companion or lover. Then you can say; "I am meeting someone nice", "I am getting a permanent relationship."; "I am marrying to someone nice". Beware that these sentences are in present tense or present continuous tense instead on future tense. Do not create a laundry list resume of what you desire, such as; I want a basketball hero, with a bachelor degree, must be from Harvard, must have a ranch in Virginia, must come from a rich family background. You should keep it short and to the basic inner emotional feeling that you can describe in the least words possible. And you can just let the spiritual channel fill in the details. The higher realm understands what you desire better than yourself.

Step 2: Turn it over! Right before falling asleep each and every night, you should sit on the edge of your bed for just a moment to collect the emotional feeling of what you desire to appear in your life or out of it. If you are looking for a mate, imagine the emotion when the mate is there already for you, your emotions and happiness of achieving your desired object. You do not need to picture what the person's appearance or what you will do or talk. That is not important at this point and interferes with the feeling emotions of your desire. You should just create the emotion of happiness you would feel at upon achieving what you are looking for. Then, with your imagination, put this happy emotion in a little bubble and blow the bubble away so it will enter the divine. At this stage you do not need have to 'hang on to your desire'. You are 'turning it over' to the greater reality beyond your understanding where it can be processed appropriately. Now you can go to sleep.

Step 3: Patience and Perseverance. Continue the nightly practice of 'turning over your desire' right before you go to sleep. If you miss a day, don't worry, but begin again. Never give up! Practice it every night until your desire becomes your reality. You will not know exactly how long your desire will be realized. For the person, it can be one night. For the person who waited a year, it did not matter since when her desire was realized, the time she spent patiently and persistently 'turning it over' every night became a moot concern. This step should not be over-emphasized. It separates from those who truly desire something and those who are just so-so interested.

Step 4: Trust! Trust that will happen! For the beginner, you must trust that the spiritual world can assist you in your desires and requests. But, you only need to trust until you have your first successful experience, then you no longer have to trust, because you will KNOW. When you know that something extraordinary happens, you no longer need to trust that it works, simply because you KNOW that it works. For instance, if I tell someone who has never tasted candy what candy actually tastes sweet, they would have to trust me. They have to trust me since they never had the chance to taste candy and do not know what sweetness is. Nevertheless, when they get to taste candy for themselves, they do not need to trust me about sweetness, they will know for themselves and hence trusting me is not necessary any more. That is how the Dream Magic works for you too, once you have experienced it yourself, you will KNOW what it is. And knowing is better than trusting.

Step 5: Change and Do. The universe is changing every second. The stars and galaxies are becoming farther apart because of the expansion of the universe. New Sun stars are born, while some others burn out, things are changing constantly. You need to make some little changes too. They do not have to be radical changes like getting a full body tattoo or dying your hair green and purple, but make some small changes as a signal to the universe that you are ready to change. What can you do? You can change your daily routine; instead of - wake up; breakfast, drive 30mins to work, then work, then eat lunch; Get off from work; stop at the grocery store, cook dinner, watch TV, read a little; then go to bed; next day start all over. Try something new like: first wake up; have coffee at a Starbucks; hitch a ride or take your friend to work; talk to someone you never talked to, after all you can make a new friend; you can eat lunch out at a different restaurant; finish work, go to a different grocery store, maybe a whole Oriental food supermarket or organic type; instead of watching TV, you can go to bookstore, swimming pool; beach; mall; bowling.

You can change your style of fashion or get something different than before; maybe its sandals, new hair color or change your colorist or hairdresser. You never go to the theater or a music concert? Then do that! If you are invited to meet someone new or do something different, do it! Come across some little things to change in your usual life. Why? Because that lets you to 'shake' and 'move your routine so the spiritual 'shakers' and 'movers' will be able to find more chances for you to intersect with a 'coincidence' that should turn out to be the reply to your desire.

Chinese proverbs...

To talk much and arrive nowhere is the same as climbing a tree to catch a fish

Outside noisy, inside empty

One generation plants the trees, and another gets the shade

There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but the view is always the same

He who depends on himself will attain the greatest happiness.

Kissing is like drinking salted water: you drink and your thirst increases

If you don’t want anyone to know it, don’t do it

A man should choose a friend who is better than himself. There are plenty of acquaintances in the world; but very few real friends.

Be not disturbed at being misunderstood; be disturbed rather at not being understanding

Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes.

The palest ink is better than the sharpest memory

Flowers leave some of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them

I dreamed a thousand new paths. . . I woke and walked my old one.

If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people

Just as tall trees are known by their shadows, so are good men known by their enemies

hen the heart is at ease, the body is healthy

After three days without reading, talk becomes flavorless

The error of one moment becomes the sorrow of a whole life

Pleasure for one hour, a bottle of wine. Pleasure for one year a marriage; but pleasure for a lifetime, a garden

He who seeks vengeance must dig two graves: one for his enemy and one for himself

Do not anxiously hope for that which is not yet come; do not vainly regret what is already past

To persecute the unfortunate is like throwing stones on one fallen into a well

Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names

Don’t consider your reputation and you may do anything you like

If you want happiness for a lifetime – help the next generation.

Men in the game are blind to what men looking on see clearly

Make happy those who are near, and those who are far will come

A bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers.

A book holds a house of gold.

A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.

A book tightly shut is but a block of paper.

A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.

A diamond with a flaw is worth more than a pebble without imperfections.

A filthy mouth will not utter decent language.

A fool judges people by the presents they give him.

A gem is not polished without rubbing, nor a man perfected without trials.

A nation’s treasure is in its scholars.

A rat who gnaws at a cat’s tail invites destruction.

Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.

Be the first to the field and the last to the couch.

Deep doubts, deep wisdom; small doubts, little wisdom.

Dig the well before you are thirsty.

Do good, reap good; do evil, reap evil.

Do not employ handsome servants.

Do not fear going forward slowly; fear only to stand still.

Do not remove a fly from your friend’s forehead with a hatchet.

Don’t open a shop unless you like to smile.

Each generation will reap what the former generation has sown.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

He who is drowned is not troubled by the rain.

He who strikes the first blow admits he’s lost the argument.

If heaven made him, earth can find some use for him.

If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.

If you bow at all, bow low.

If you don’t want anyone to know, don’t do it.

Does Your Resume Answer These Key Questions?

Most people, no matter what job they seek or how long they've been part of the working world, make the same mistake when it comes to the résumé-writing process. They forget -- or simply don't know how -- to develop their resume from the employer's point of view.

"Employers want to know several things about you within seconds of glancing at your résumé. Your job, then, is to be hit-them-over-the-head obvious about who you are, what job you're seeking and what you have to offer them. When sifting through resumes, most employers and recruiters know exactly what they're looking for. Resumes that meet their expectations are ones that respond to all nine of the following questions:

Who are you?

To determine how well your résumé addresses this, have your friends or colleagues read it. Within five seconds of them looking at the resume, snatch it back from them and quiz them on what they know about you as a job seeker based on what they read. If they can't offer a quick answer that truly describes you, your resume's summary needs some work.

What can you do for me? The most effective way to show employers the value you offer is to show them how you've contributed to an employer's success elsewhere. Examples must be specific, measurable accomplishments that cite numbers and other details.

Do you have the skills I'm looking for? Scan job ads and job descriptions to discover which skills are most relevant to the employers and recruiters receiving your resume. Then strategically place them throughout your resumeto ensure it makes it past computer scans and into the hands of employers and recruiters.

Where have you worked before? This one should be simple. Employers want to know where you worked, for how long and which job titles you've held that may indicate how prepared you are for a role at their organization.

Is your experience relevant to my needs? Sometimes it's necessary to expand upon a job title or job description to truly demonstrate that you have experience that applies to the job you're seeking. Consider using bullets to present brief and interesting information that is relevant to the employer.

Do you have the right education and credentials? If you have the education, credentials and training needed to qualify for the job, be sure to say so! Use commonly accepted terminology and keywords in this section to ensure your information isn't misinterpreted or overlooked by employers or resume scanners.

What kind of person are you? "Adding insightful information about what makes you special can be a definite plus on your resume and help decision-makers discriminate between you and another candidate, even before you've met in person. include "extras," such as a branding statement and relevant information about foreign languages you speak, computer proficiencies, etc.

Do I see any "red flags" in your background? Gaps in employment (an indication of job hopping), spending too much time in the same job or resume errors may alert employers and recruiters that you are not the type of candidate they're looking for in their organization. To avoid drawing attention to "red flags" on your resume, make sure you make your accomplishments and skills stand out as strongly as possible.

Can I easily get in touch with you? After all your hard work in putting together a powerful resume, don't forget the essentials! It doesn't matter how great your resume is, if you don't include a phone number, address and e-mail address somewhere on the resume, you'll never hear from the employer or recruiter.

25 Words That Hurt Your Resume...

So, you're experienced? Before you advertise this in your resume, be sure you can prove it.
Often, when job seekers try to sell themselves to potential employers, they load their resume with vague claims that are transparent to hiring managers. The most successful job seekers avoid these vague phrases on their resumes in favor of accomplishments.
Instead of making empty claims to demonstrate your work ethic, use brief, specific examples to demonstrate your skills. In other words, show, don't tell.

Here are a few examples:

Instead of... "Experience working in fast-paced environment"
Try... "Registered 120+ third-shift emergency patients per night"

Instead of... "Excellent written communication skills"
Try... "Wrote jargon-free User Guide for 11,000 users"

Instead of... "Team player with cross-functional awareness"
Try... "Collaborated with clients, A/R and Sales to increase speed of receivables and prevent interruption of service to clients."

Instead of... "Demonstrated success in analyzing client needs"
Try... "Created and implemented comprehensive needs assessment mechanism to help forecast demand for services and staffing."

The worst offenders
It's good to be hard-working and ambitious, right? The hiring manager won't be convinced if you can't provide solid examples to back up your claims. Be extra-careful before putting these nice-sounding but empty words in your resume.
• Aggressive • Ambitious • Competent • Creative • Detail-oriented
• Determined • Efficient • Experienced • Flexible • Goal-oriented
• Hard-working • Independent • Innovative • Knowledgeable • Logical
• Motivated • Meticulous • People person • Professional • Reliable
• Resourceful • Self-motivated • Successful • Team player • Well-organized

Tips for Writing a Better Resume...

Having a strong resume can change your life. Your resume is your gateway into a new job. You want it to look professional and you want it to stand out to the person who will be reading it. Here are some tips to make your resume a little better.
  1. Design each resume to fit each particular job. Make sure you are tweaking each resume that you send out so that it pertains to the job you are applying for. Sending out a generic resume does not stand out to a future employer.
  2. Be specific. Use numbers, dates and names when describing something in your resume. The absence of dates on your employment history can raise some red flags.
  3. Present information that is most impressive first. This will help you decide if you should put experience or education first on your resume.
  4. Use everyday language and short, concise paragraphs. You do not want to sound like you used a thesaurus for every word in your resume. People can tell when you do that.
  5. Get someone else's reaction to your resume before you send it out. Sometimes that person may catch a mistake that you did not see or they can help you improve the format of the resume.
  6. Proofread for spelling and grammar before you type of the final copy. You do not want to submit a resume that has errors in it, as it does not look very professional.
  7. Use boldface type, underlining and indentations to make your resume easy to read.
  8. Make sure that you include all of your experience. You want to include all volunteer work, achievements, extracurricular activities (related to your job) and awards. But when doing so, do not put ridiculous things on here just to fill up space. If you got highest honors back in your junior year of high school and you are now 40 years old, don't include that. The employer will not care about something you did back in high school over 20 years ago.
  9. Make sure that you have good references. You do not always have to include references on your resume, but it is a good idea. That way, the employer can see that you are willing to give them up front and will not have to call you for them. Make sure that your references are people that would be professional if they got called by one of your future employers.
  10. Make sure that your resume reflects what the employer wants and not what you want. You want something that will be noticed by the employer, Look at from their point of view and then write.

10 Commandments of Resume Writing...

Here are the Ten Commandments that you must absolutely follow for a winning resume-

Title the Resume Imaginatively
Be imaginative in naming the resume document. A resume titled "Your Name-5 Years Sales Experience.doc" is much more noticeable than a resume titled Resume.doc or YourName.doc

Use Keywords
Nowadays employers use career sites like Monster and Hot Jobs to search for suitable candidates. The search is made the same way you search for a topic using search engines like Google or MSN. Use of relevant keywords will make it easy for the search engines to find you.

Objective of the Resume
The objective of the resume tells what you can do for your employer. It saves the employer the trouble of reading the whole resume, and then reaching his or her own conclusions. Does the employer have the time to do this?

Focus on results, not responsibilities
The prospective employer is more interested in specific results that you achieved, rather than a broad description of your responsibilities. Do not say- "Responsibilities included interacting with dealers..." Instead, say- "Worked with dealers X and Y to increase sales by 25% in 3 months..."

Customize you Resume
Go through the job advertisement and customize your resume to address the needs of the employer. Align your resume as per the job description. Keep in mind what the employer wants.

Be Focused and Professional
A resume is not a literary document. It is meant to showcase your professional skills and qualities. Therefore, avoid verbosity; avoid being humorous and giving unnecessary information. Do not showcase you hobbies and interests, unless they are very relevant to the position that you have applied for.

Give Practical Examples of Qualities and Strengths
Don't just make a plain list of your qualities, skills and strengths. Go on to tell the employer what you have actually achieved using them. Don't just say you have "initiative", tell them that you "convinced leading dealer ABC to switch from the competitors' product to your product".

Be Honest
Your resume should contain the truth, and nothing but the whole truth. Do not get creative in exaggerating your achievements and skills. Employers can, and usually do, run checks with your references. Even if you get away with it, you will always live in fear.

Proofread the Resume
Go through your resume to check for spelling and grammatical mistakes. These mistakes can create a bad impression in the mind of the employer. Do your own proofreading. Also get a friend or a colleague to double check.

KISS
Oh yes, go ahead and KISS! Keep It Short and Simple. Don't make it too long by sharing your hobbies and interests with the employer. Remember, the objective of an effective resume is to get the employer to call you for an interview. Your resume gets only a few seconds to arouse the interest of the employer. Follow the Ten Commandments of effective resume writing, and you cannot go wrong.

Love, Wealth and Success...

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife.

"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

Management Lesson...

Management Story !

Story 1:

It’s a fine sunny day in the forest and a lion is sitting outside his cave, lying lazily in the sun. Along comes a fox, out on a walk.

Fox: “Do you know the time, because my watch is broken”

Lion: “Oh, I can easily fix the watch for you”

Fox: “Hmm… But it’s a very complicated mechanism, and your big claws will only destroy it even more”

Lion: “Oh no, give it to me, and it will be fixed”

Fox: “That’s ridiculous! Any fool knows that lazy lions with great claws cannot fix complicated watches”

Lion: “Sure they do, give it to me and it will be fixed”

The lion disappears into his cave, and after a while he comes back with the watch which is running perfectly. The fox is impressed, and the lion continues to lie lazily in the sun, looking very pleased with himself.

Soon a wolf comes along and stops to watch the lazy lion in the sun.

Wolf: “Can I come and watch TV tonight with you, because mine is broken”

Lion: “Oh, I can easily fix your TV for you”

Wolf: “You don’t expect me to believe such rubbish, do you? There is no way that a lazy lion with big claws can fix a complicated TV”

Lion: “No problem. Do you want to try it?”

The lion goes into his cave, and after a while comes back with a perfectly fixed TV. The wolf goes away happily and amazed.

Scene: Inside the lion’s cave. In one corner are half a dozen small and intelligent looking rabbits who are busily doing very complicated work with very detailed instruments. In the other corner lies a huge lion looking very pleased with himself.

Moral:

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY SOMEONE UNDESERVED IS PROMOTED; LOOK AT THE WORK OF HIS SUBORDINATES.

Story 2:

It’s a fine sunny day in the forest and a rabbit is sitting outside his burrow, tippy-tapping on his typewriter. Along comes a fox, out for a walk.

Fox: “What are you working on?”
Rabbit: “My thesis.”

Fox: “Hmm… What is it about?”
Rabbit: “Oh, I’m writing about how rabbits eat foxes.”

Fox: “That’s ridiculous ! Any fool knows that rabbits don’t eat foxes!”
Rabbit: “Come with me and I’ll show you!”

They both disappear into the rabbit’s burrow. After few minutes, gnawing on a fox bone, the rabbit returns to his typewriter and resumes typing.

Soon a wolf comes along and stops to watch the hardworking rabbit.

Wolf: “What’s that you are writing?”
Rabbit: “I’m doing a thesis on how rabbits eat wolves.”

Wolf: “you don’t expect to get such rubbish published, do you?”

Rabbit: “No problem. Do you want to see why?”

The rabbit and the wolf go into the burrow and again the rabbit returns by himself, after a few minutes, and goes back to typing.

Finally a bear comes along and asks, “What are you doing?

Rabbit: “I’m doing a thesis on how rabbits eat bears.”

Bear: “Well that’s absurd ! ”

Rabbit: “Come into my home and I’ll show you”

Scene: As they enter the burrow, the rabbit introduces the bear to the lion.

Chicken Story Joke...

A farmer rears twenty-five young hens and one old cock. As he feels that the old cock could no longer handle his job efficiently, the farmer bought one young cock from the market.

Old cock to Young cock : "Welcome to join me, we will work together towards productivity.

Young cock : What you mean? As far as I know, you are old and should be retired.

Old cock : Young boy, there are twenty-five hens here, can't I help you with some?

Young cock : No! Not even one, all of them will be mine.

Old cock : In this case, I shall challenge you to a competition and if I win you shall allow me to have one hen and if I lose you will have all. Young cock : O.K. What kind of competition?

Old cock: 50 meter run. From here to that tree. But due to my age, I hope you allow me to start off the first 10 meters.

Young cock : No problem ! We will compete tomorrow morning.

Confidently, the following morning, the Young cock allows the Old cock to start off and when the Old cock crosses the 10 meters mark the Young cock chases him with all his might.

Soon enough, he was behind the Old cock back in a matter of seconds.

Suddenly, Bang! ...... before he could overtake the old cock, he was shot dead by the farmer, who cursed, "Hell ! This is the fifth GAY chicken I've bought this week !"

Meaning of Namaste...

Indian Greeting Style Namaste Real Meaning

Meaning of Namaste | Indian Greeting Style Namaste Real MeaningThe gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra.

The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.

"Nama" means bow,
"as" means I, and
"te" means you.

Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you."

To perform Namaste, we place the hands together at the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart.

This is an especially deep form of respect.

Although in the West the word "Namaste" is usually spoken in conjunction with the gesture, in India, it is understood that the gesture itself signifies Namaste,
and therefore, it is unnecessary to say the word while bowing.

We bring the hands together at the heart chakra to increase the flow of Divine love. Bowing the head and closing the eyes helps the mind surrender to the Divine in the heart. One can do Namaste to oneself as a meditation technique to go deeper inside the heart chakra; when done with someone else, it is also a beautiful, albeit quick, meditation.

For a teacher and student, Namaste allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of
ego-connection.

If it is done with deep feeling in the heart and with the mind surrendered, a deep union of spirits can blossom.

Ideally, Namaste should be done both at the beginning and at the end of class. Usually, it is done at the end of class because the mind is less active and
the energy in the room is more peaceful. The teacher initiates Namaste as a symbol of gratitude and respect toward her students and her own teachers and in return invites the students to connect with their lineage, thereby allowing the truth to flow ” the truth that we are all one when we live from the heart.

So Namaste India...

Mushkil Hai Apna Mel Priye Yeh Pyar Nahi Hai Khel Priye...

Truth about Failure...

Failure doesn't mean you are a failure...
It does mean you haven't succeeded yet

Failure doesn't mean you have accomplished nothing...
It does mean you have learned something

Failure doesn't mean you have been a fool...
It does mean you had a lot of faith

Failure doesn't mean you have been disgraced...
It does mean you were willing to try

Failure doesn't mean you don't have it...
It does mean you have to do something in a different way

Failure doesn't mean you are inferior...
It does mean you are not perfect

Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your life...
It does mean you've got a reason to start afresh

Failure doesn't mean you should give up...
It does mean you should try harder

Failure doesn't mean you'll never make it...
It does mean it will take a little longer

Negative Messaging...

You want to be successful. Close your eyes and envision your dream life! Now ask yourself, can you make it come true? You already know what it is going to take to achieve your goals; the only thing you now need is to cultivate the ability to take consistent action.

You must have noticed that, in your head, you are continually talking to yourself. There is a lot of power in positive thinking, but equally powerful is the vice-like grip of negative messaging that you may be giving yourself.

Every personality is a manifestation of nature, nurture and experiences. Your natural instincts are often overshadowed by negative messaging that is set-off by this conditioning, as also by the fear of non-conformance. Over a period of time, you get accustomed to inaction.

Here’s a short story
“Eight monkeys are put in a cage. In the middle of the room is a stool, leading to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling. Outside the cage, an observer has a hose filled with ice water. Within a few minutes, one monkey climbs on the stool to get the bananas. This effort is rewarded immediately with an ice cold shower for all of the monkeys. Several minutes later, another monkey tries, with the same result. Each time a monkey tries to climb the stool all the monkeys are sprayed with ice water, which makes them miserable. Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the stool, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed, set upon him and beat him up.
The monkeys quickly learn the relationship between 'get on the stool' and 'an ice cold shower', and choose a way to protect themselves.
One of the original monkeys is then removed, and a new monkey is put in the room. Seeing the bananas and the stool, he wonders why none of the other monkeys are doing the obvious. But undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the stool. All the other monkeys fall upon him and beat him. He has no idea why. However, he no longer attempts to climb the stool. A second original monkey is removed and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the stool, but all the other monkeys beat him up. This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it. However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey.
One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced. Eight new monkeys are now in the cage. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water. None of them attempt to climb the stool. All of them will beat up any new monkey who tries, without having any idea why.”

This is how negative messaging breeds inaction...

Avoid negative messaging. You can change your negative self-talk simply by being conscious of it. Whenever you notice a negative message, consciously change it for a positive message. Your strengths are your assets, appreciate them and use them. Work towards overcoming your weaknesses; get help if needed. Learn to separate real threats from perceived threats. Move on!

Adversity...

If you are going through a tough phase in your life, it is time to brace up to one fact. You and only you can make your fortunes turn. Is there any successful person who has not had to face adversity? Ask them how they handled it, and you will get one answer- resilence.
Here is a story……great food for thought!
“Put three pots of water on a fire. In the first pot put some carrots. In the second pot, put some eggs. In the third pot, put some ground coffee beans. Boil all the pots for 15 minutes.
The carrots went in hard, they are now soft. The eggs went in soft inside. They are now hard inside. The coffee beans have imparted the water with colour and a wonderful smell.
The problems of life are like the boiling water! What happens to us when we face difficulties in our life? We can be like carrots. We go in tough and strong, we come out soft and weak. We get tired. We lose hope. There is no more fighting spirit left in us.
We can be like eggs. We start with a soft and sensitive heart, expecting to do good and get good. We end up hard and unfeeling inside. We hate others, we become embittered. We don’t like ourselves anymore.
We can be like coffee beans. The water does not change the coffee beans, the coffee beans change the water. See it! Smell it! Taste it! The hotter the water, the better the taste. We can adapt. We can learn from the problems we face, garner new knowledge, get new skills…. We can grow in experience. We can make the world around us better!

How do you handle Adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

It is important to understand that success is, among other things, a function of your ability to respond effectively to adversities. Remember, all setbacks are temporary and every failure is a lesson. Do not lose sight of your goals. Review your approach to handle the current situation and just keep doing things you need to do. When the going is really tough, it is all the more important to take care of yourself. Eat right, read inspirational material, listen to motivational songs. Believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who have a positive outlook. Negative people can de-motivate you…disassociate from them if you can.
When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest only patience, perseverance and tenacity can help you get on top of the situation.

Hold On...

Just sit and listen over here
Grab your girl and hold her near
Just give her your coat on a rainy day
Just sit and listen to what she may say
Push her to where she may not have gone
Be the man in her love songs

Hold on to the moments
Make them last
Before you know it
They’ve gone too fast

When you look to the future
Do so with a smile
Because everyone’s day’s

Cloudy once in awhile

Be the friend with the extra wings
To help lift them up to the tops of things
And when you lose a friend
Smiling right to the end
Continue his smile and
His message you’ll send

And when your close your eyes and
They are in your dreams
And you cant forget them it seems
Remember the memories and the time you spent
And try to figure out where all the time went
Just yesterday you were startin’ school
Had all the time in the world
And you were so cool

Don’t forget those moments
And hold them near
But still look to the future
Without any fear

Hold on to the moments
Make them last
Before you know it
They’ve gone too fast
When you look to the future
Do so with a smile
Because everyone’s day’s
Cloudy once in awhile
Be the friend with the extra wings
To help lift them up to the tops of things
And when you lose a friend
Smiling right to the end
Continue his smile and
His message you’ll send

Emotions...

“Emotions are the great captains of our lives and we obey them without realizing it.”

Emotional reactions are like pop-up windows; they come up automatically when your buttons are pushed! You must’ve realised that certain stimuli provoke specific emotions leading to a predictable behaviour in you. And if the wrong buttons are pushed, they trigger negative reactions! All this happens because each one of us is walking around with some emotional baggage.

Emotional baggage can be simply defined as painful memories of mistrust, hurt, loss or rejection carried around from the past.

To be successful and live the life of your dreams, you must meet life’s challenges with equanimity. You must be focussed, clear headed and positive. But, some carry a heavier baggage than the others; hence their progress towards success is slowed down or even fraught with frequent stoppages, simply trying to pull the excess weight.

Emotional baggage manifests itself in many unpleasant ways. It can make you mistrust people, and stop you from having meaningful personal or professional relationships. It can make you too scared to take a step forward because of perceived threats. It can stop you from fighting back for yourselves. It can stop you from asking for support when you most need it, out of fear of rejection or failure. It can make you become a control freak, a yeller, a whiner, an escapist……the list is endless.

Your emotional baggage weighs down your personality. Even when you put up a grand show of being stable, rational and confident, it is lurking in the background to rear its ugly head when the wrong buttons are pushed. Then, it bursts forth with the intensity of a tidal wave to wash away all that you aspire to be.

Since change is an inherent property of the environment around you, you cannot continue to react to situations in a pattern defined by your childhood traumas or other unpleasant experiences. It means you need to get rid of the emotional baggage dragging you down. This task is not easy, but it must be done. Here are four steps to doing it.

# Become aware of your incorrect behaviour!
Accept that your behaviour needs to change and give no excuses or justification for it.

# Recognise the stimulus!
When you find a similar negative reaction repeating itself, try to map the different situations that led to the behaviour. More often than not you will realise that the stimulus to the reaction has been the same.

# Analyse and Forgive!
Try to unearth childhood experiences or other traumas that first caused you to react this way. Forgive those who wronged you then; forgiveness is a great healer. Tell yourself that the people and the situations of the past are not relevant any more. Teach your mind to live in the present instead of the past.

# Plan your Reaction!
Having recognised the stimuli to your emotional responses, you can plan how you will react the next time similar stimuli occur.

Life is a moving stream. If you do not dump excess baggage before you get on to the boat, you will sink. Hence, though the task is daunting, if you have resolved to change, you will succed in sculpting a beautiful personality and be rewarded with a more fulfilling life!
